What this policy covers
This policy explains how Dentistry at Golden Ridge handles information collected through this website, at www.dentistrygoldenridge.com.
It does not cover your dental records. Protected Health Information created or held by the practice is governed by HIPAA and described in our Notice of Privacy Practices (PDF). If you are asking about your treatment records, billing, or anything you told us in the office, that notice is the document you want, not this one. The same is true if you describe symptoms or a dental concern in one of the forms below: we handle that the same way we would handle it if you told us in person, under HIPAA and our Notice of Privacy Practices, not as ordinary website data.
What this website collects
This website has two forms: Contact Us and Request an Appointment. Both ask for your name and a way to reach you (email or phone, at least one), and both have an optional comments box. The appointment form also asks for your preferred date, an optional time preference, and whether you are a new or existing patient. Both require you to check a box confirming you have read this policy before you can submit.
Submitting either form sends your information directly from your browser to a server we control, hosted on Microsoft Azure under the same Microsoft business associate agreement that covers our email generally. We do not store what you write in a database, and we do not log the content of your submission anywhere, only whether it succeeded or failed, for troubleshooting. The information is delivered to us by email, the same as if you had emailed us directly. It is never written to a database or saved anywhere on Azure in the first place, so there is nothing there to delete once it's delivered.
Both forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to confirm you are a real visitor rather than an automated script, before the form will submit. Turnstile runs a check in your browser and sends a verification token, not your form content, to Cloudflare. By default, Turnstile does not set a lasting cookie on your device, and we have not turned on the optional Cloudflare setting that would change that.
Neither form loads Google Analytics, even if you have accepted analytics elsewhere on the site. That is deliberate: these are the two pages where you might tell us something identifiable, so we do not measure them at all.
The site does use Google Analytics on every other page to understand how visitors find and move through the site, once you have accepted it. That measures pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, and how you arrived. It is used to improve the website. It is not used to identify you, and we do not attempt to connect it to any patient record. See our Cookie Policy for how to accept, decline, or change your mind.
The site also loads its typefaces from Google Fonts. Doing so sends your IP address to Google as part of the request for those font files. This happens on every page.
Where this website sends you
Several things you might want to do are handled by other companies on their own websites, under their own privacy policies rather than this one:
- New patient forms and records release are hosted by Henry Schein One, at
forms.henryscheinone.com. - Paying your bill is handled at
paymydentist.net. - Links to Google, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, Pinterest and Yelp take you to those companies' sites.
Once you leave this site, the information you provide is handled by that company. We suggest reading their privacy policy before entering anything sensitive.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your information.
- We do not run advertising trackers or retargeting pixels on this site.
- We do not build advertising profiles of visitors.
- We do not have a field on either form that asks for health information. If you choose to mention symptoms or a dental concern in the comments box anyway, see "What this policy covers" above for how that is handled.

Your choices
You can opt out of Google Analytics entirely, on every site you visit, by installing Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Every major browser also lets you block or delete cookies; see our Cookie Policy for how.
If you would like to know what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, contact us using the details below and we will help. We do this as a matter of practice, whether or not a particular privacy law happens to apply to a practice our size.
Children
This website is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from them. We do of course treat children as patients; information about a child patient is handled under HIPAA and our Notice of Privacy Practices (PDF).
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date at the top. If we begin collecting something materially different, we will say so rather than quietly amend the text.
